Blue lingers in silence
I haven’t set foot outside in a while, judging by the midnight blue prints piling up on the table in precarious paper towers, ready to dance, swirl, and disappear at the slightest gust of wind.
The world’s turmoil has become a distant murmur. I’ve traded its harsh realities for the softness of cyanotype, its frantic pace for a quiet, solitary stroll through chemistry and paper. Nature finds its way to my images: a moth lands on my window and onto the paper, light grazes the water, a tree greets me as it passes—or did I dream it? During the day, sunlight floods my apartment, casting shadows, fantasies, and memories—whether real or invented—across the walls. At night, my senses awaken, keeping sleep at bay.
Blue lingers in silence conveys an inner world through landscapes, self-portraits, and fictions. It is a tale of dreams and nightmares, a door to the subconscious, and a call to the enchanted. Laid on paper and revealed by daylight, the creatures, images, and figures I encounter become remnants, symbols, and mirages. Together, they invite reverie, introspection, and an exploration of the delicate balance between light and shadow within us.
